Sport: Basketball - Position: Point Guard; Shooting Guard at Reservoir High School (Fulton, MD) Graduation Year: 2012- Personal Statement: My name is Terance Epps, a senior at Reservoir High School. I am 5 foot 10.5 inches, 155 pound point guard. I am a starter on my high school varsity team and one of the captains and starters on my AAU Maryland Suns team. The summer of 2011, I help lead the Maryland Suns to become the Undefeated YBOA Division 1 Champion. For the past four years the Maryland Suns have qualified for a ticket to either the YBOA or AAU Nationals.
What I bring to any team is my leadership, whether I am the team captain or not. Sometimes you have to lead from the bench. I have a lot of drive that does not allow me to give up, and I will not allow any of my teammates give up either. I know I have to put in the time to be successful, typically the first one on the court and the last to leave; I believe that if I'm in it has to be 1000%.
My family will qualify for financial aid when I apply for school. I am interested in an institution that has strong overall academics in addition to a top notch Health Science program. My goal for college is to make a difference both on and off the court, and have fun. Of course I want to achieve great things on the court but when it is no longer fun, what's the point. I am extremely open right now to the location and size of the school and would like to visit as many campuses as possible before I make my college decision. Please stay tuned for my highlight film, and I look forward to speaking with every interested coach.
