Darius Adams is a student who achieves academic excellence. I have been on Honor throughout middle school and high school. At Oxon Hill High School, I take several honors courses, I am on the Principal's Honor Roll list with a 4.0 GPA. My dream is to become an NBA Basketball Player. I am mostly known for my commitment to the team and others. I would like to major in Sports Management with a concentration in Business. Once I commit to something I never give up and give my best effort. I am excellent in math and in 9th Grade, I was entered into the MU Alpha Theta, Algebra 1, Math Competition Finals. I was #4 out of the students in my 9th grade class in which we have over 195 students. I started sports late in life at the age of 10 years old. My first sport was Soccer, I played for Fort Washington Boys & Girls Club, and I also play for Oxon Hill High School. My position was Goalie and center back. Additionally, I am a Red Belt in Tae Kwon Do.
Although I started sports late, I have been working towards being an elite basketball player/athlete. I have been able to compete with those who started when they were much younger. All of my coaches always said, I have a natural athletic ability and I am a fast learner, I have a positive attitude and well mannered . Currently, I play for DC Premier Black 17u (AAU), and I play for Oxon Hill High School Summer League as a Shooting Guard/Small Forward. I am a good candidate for your school because I am a hard worker who is willing to do what it takes to become the best. In addition, I am well rounded as a musician I play the Violin, Guitar, Drums, Piano, and I sing for Oxon Hill High School Choir. Recently, I was honored as the Top Goalie for the Southern Division High School Futsal League and was inducted into the National Honor Society. I am a positive young man that will represent your school well in all faucets. Thank you in advance for believing in me enough to choose me.

- Darius Adams will be participating in Fairleigh Dickinson University, Men’s Basketball Prospect Camp. The Future Devils Men’s Basketball Prospect Camp is open to boys 11th and 12th grade who are looking to improve their skills and play at the collegiate level. This camp is the perfect place to showcase one’s basketball skills and abilities, while learning what it takes to be a student-athlete on and off the floor. The camp also features an opportunity to watch an FDU Basketball practice before and to take a campus tour of Fairleigh Dickinson after, as well as an information session regarding admissions and financial aid for parents.

- Darius Adams will be participating at The Dunk Camp is simply that -- a camp completely focused on the most beautiful and athletic feat in all of sports and dream of every player who has ever stepped on the court - dunking a basketball. We bring together the best dunkers and vertical jump trainers in the world for 4 days of intense training on every aspect of jumping and dunking to help athletes accelerate their progress towards making their first dunk or taking their dunking skills to the next level. At The Dunk Camp, you will learn how to: Warm-up Jump (approach, arm-swing, penultimate step, take-off, landing, etc.) Dunk (basic through advanced) Train properly Recover Think properly and use visualization Avoid and recover from injuries Overcome obstacles, challenges, and plateaus Apply the principles of dunking in other areas of your life Each participant will be tested on their vertical jump. This data will be kept in our Dunker Database and will allow you to see how you compare with other dunkers including professional dunkers. At the end of the camp, participants will get to show off their hops in a dunk contest (low rims and regulation) judged by our pro dunkers for sweet prizes and bragging rights.

- Darius Adams will be attending Towson Basketball Elite Camp is a great way to work closely with the Towson Head Coach Pat Skerry and Staff. The camp will put players through workouts and drills that Towson Basketball Uses every day. There will be skill development, drills teaching some concepts in Towson Basketball and 5v5 live games. The camp will put players through a workout that high level college basketball players do on a daily basis.

- DC Premier Black 17u will be participating in the Grassroots Finals - Live tournament: Event Information The grassroots basketball finale is a must have stop for independent travel teams during the second july live period. Teams from hoopgroup will clash with teams from hoopseen in a weekend of high level basketball. The region v region clash will allow your team to be seen by coaches from across the country. Format Each team will play at least 4 games. This event will begin on friday morning and run through sunday late afternoon/evening.

Darius Adams & Oxon Hill High School is participating in the Capital Hoops Summer League at DaMatha High School: Games are played from late May to early July (Monday through Sunday) at DeMatha's state of the art LT (SEAL) Brendan Looney '99 Convocation Center in the Morgan and Kathy Wootten Gymnasium.

- Elite camps are open to High School, Junior College, and transfers in a tryout-type setting. Players will have an opportunity to tour campus, visit with coaches, and showcase their ability. Tenth-year head coach Butch Estes and his staff will evaluate potential prospects in the one-day setting. In his nine seasons with the Bucs, he has led them to a 174-73 mark with two trips to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight and six trips to the national tournament. He is the only coach in school history to take five straight teams to the NCAA Tournament. Darius Adams will be attending Barry University Elite Camp in Miami, FL.

Get your spot while you can! Showcases and Camps are for players looking to develop their game as well as gain exposure to college coaches. Over 2,250 showcase participants have received basketball scholarships to colleges and universities across the nation. Over 150 of these have played professionally, including 13 alumni who've played in the NBA! Darius Adams, Small Forward attended this event.
