The first couple years of my High school basketball career was filled with many learning experiences which allowed me to improve as a player on and off the court especially academically. I spent my freshman year and part of my sophomore year on junior varsity where I was put into a position to be a leader. I got the opportunity to play varsity to end my sophomore year and ended up playing a big role in our winning streak that sadly came to an end deep in the playoffs. This all taught me lessons for the player I am today as we are aiming for a state championship this year. This also helped me learn my true role and impact on any team which is being a leader and playmaker that my teammates can rely on. Aside from basketball, I have the academic goals of maintaining a 3.0 and above unweighted GPA. I have spent the past six months in preparation of taking the ACT and SAT. I am looking to be successful academically as well in college at your school as I take classes that of course interest me and play the game that I love. Being a part of my Sherwood basketball team has allowed me to develop a good work ethic, a determined mindset, and the ability to make all those around me better every single day which I know will translate to the next level. I will make an impact on your program and am willing to do what is necessary for my team to thrive.
