I have strived my whole life to be able to attend college, and become an NCAA student athlete. This goal could not have been, and can not be completed without a strong work ethic. This does not only pertain to basketball. Hard work within the walls of the classroom are vital to reaching my goal. Since I can remember, basketball has been one of the biggest parts of my life. Not only do I love to play the game, but I love to follow and study the game. I love to watch college and some NBA players during games and try to pick up on anything I can get. My play style is unique. I love the fast break, and have never had any issues at any level (AAU,highschool), going the distance for a layup of my own, or setting up my teammates for an easy shot. I pride myself on the ability to make acrobatic finishes (when necessary), my ability to finish in traffic, and my ability to draw contact going to the hoop (In my junior year I attempted 140 free throws in 23 games). My jump shot was more of a liability after my freshman year. After lots of practice on my jump shot, and putting up thousands of shots it has become a weapon. This past year (jr. Season), I connected on 35 three pointers on 33% shooting from three, which was a major improvement. It only continues to get better. On the defensive end, I love to guard the opposing teams better offensive weapons. I come away with a lot of steals (average 2steals in three seasons of highschool varsity basketball). Rebounding is a strong suit for me averaging 6 rebounds a game over the last 2 seasons. I would love to improve my free throw shooting over the off season (72% last season), my back to the basket game, and I am aiming to add 15-20 pounds over this off season before next year's high school season. I love to lead a team, and I love to have the ball in my hands down the stretch of close games. Many teams from division 4 were ranked higher than many of the division 1 and 2 teams in western mass. Also, I get to experience top competition during AAU, playing with my team the Mass Bulls. We were ranked 11th in all of New England (out of both D1 and D2 AAU) at one point in the season, and finished the year at 21st in New England. Basketball has been my life for a long long time, and to be able to play at the next level would be a humbling experience, and I can guarantee that I could contribute to any team at any level. (More video to come.)
