I’ve been playing basketball for basically my whole life and I don’t really know how I got interested in it, I just fell in love with the game. If it weren’t for basketball and my parents, I wouldn’t be the person I am now. My parents always pushed me to try and do the best on everything including academics which pushed me even more. Without the academics there is no basketball for me.
After playing basketball for many years, I was use to playing a lot. When I came to Wilbraham and Monson that all changed. I didn’t play very much my first season but it made me realize the amount of commitment and time management I had to put into this sport. It made me work harder and be prepared for anytime my name was called. The next season was somewhat the same until the last few games where I was given a chance to show what I could do. Not knowing my name was going to be called I went out on the court and gave it my all. After playing those games it made me realize that patience is a virtue and if you want something bad you got to work for it.
