It has been a dream of mine to continue my academics, as well as, my athletics at the next level. My parents played sports and have coached for many years. Both of my sisters have played sports and have continued their careers to play at the collegiate level. They currently are playing at their selected College/University, pursuing Soccer and Volleyball. I have grown up with sports and they have been one of the things that has built me into the person I am. I feel what makes me a good candidate from others, is the mindset to do what it takes for the team. I have my preferred positions, however if I am asked by my coaches to play or fill another spot; I don't hesitate on an opportunity to help out my team. I played Varsity Basketball and Football during my Freshman year with no expectations; other than working hard. I gained starting spots for both of these teams and continue to work hard and guide others toward the same success. Academically, I carry a 3.5 GPA, but with that comes struggles and coping strategies. In fourth grade I was diagnosed with Dyslexia, but that did not stop my drive to go after what I wanted. I learned ways to obtain success in the classroom which in turn made me a better more patient player. Never giving up, working hard and perseverance is what I always follow as an athlete.
