Im in Michigan and the state cancelled AAU summer 2020 and senior MHSAA season has not yet started.
My desire is to compete on the court and academically at the highest level possible. I am training my body and my mind to make a difference at one of the best colleges, anywhere in the country. Ive gotten taller/bigger/stronger since you may have last seen me and I am still growing.
I am a key leader and contributor on the court. I play Class A in the Detroit Archdiocese Catholic High School League (CHSL) Central, arguably the toughest league in the state. Every game and every practice I am competing with Division 1 commits. I will be training both physically and mentally, to become my best self and a major contributor to my high school and eventually to my college team. I am recognized by high school and AAU coaches as one of the best shooters in the state with exceptional IQ and very coachable. I can play Point Guard, Shooting Guard, or combo. Regardless of stats, I am counted on to make the right play and keep the team together. I will do what is needed to win and support my teammates and coaches. I will be attending Orchard Lake St. Marys Prep my senior year. This will challenge me for both basketball and academics.

A solid spot up or catch and shoot guard, Smythe is a specialist who fills a D1 or high D2 need in the right system.
