I've had two goals since I came up to play with my school's varsity basketball team freshman year. These goals have not been reached and I still intend to achieve that goal. My goals are to make a run in the playoffs at least as far as the sub section championship, my junior year we a run that fell one game short of getting there. My other goal is to break the school record in blocks for a game, I am currently tied in second place with 7 blocks in one game. I came near to achieving the block record my junior season. I intend to achieve my goals by the time I am done playing basketball in Le Sueur.
A little bit about me is that I grew up in Le Sueur, Minnesota. I am currently a senior at Le Sueur-Henderson. I have played basketball my whole life. I will be entering my fourth year with the varsity team. I often find myself leading my team with many things like, in the locker room, layup lines, bus behavior, and meetings with referees prior to games (My team did not have captains in the 18-19 season... Coaches choice). I also often call out plays on the court. I can play all 5 positions and I will be used in every one of them in the 19-20 season. I also like to sit down with the coach/coaches and just talk about the game plan, what I need to do better, or even just asking, "what should I have done here?"
My junior year I started for just about every game, prior to last year when I only started two games, I led my team in blocks my junior year. I was also close to the most rebounds as well. I have have never had a serious injury besides rolled ankles and little things.
Thank you for taking the time to read my statement.
