I started playing basketball in middle school when my friend invited me to play. I wasn’t good at all, but my love for the game grew. I had no knowledge of college scholarships or that I even wanted to be recruited, not up until the end of my freshman season. It was then I got serious and started training. I’ve made vast improvement since then, becoming a better shooter and jumping above everyone else (43”). I have trained with some of the best players in my state, and I have learned the importance of the part of the game played with the mind. While many players will slug through shoot slumps of bad games, I have learned to be excited when those challenges come my way, and take them on with a growth mindset. Not only am I a great candidate for your team physically, I’m a great fit mentally. I’m encouraging, constantly talking and communicating during games, and I make others around me better and more confident. Out of the classroom is no problem for me with a 3.8 GPA. I hope you will give me a chance to play for you, and help you improve your program.
