I don't know what I want to do with the rest of my life yet. I have interests in designing, sports, and computers. What I do know, is that every time I envision the future and me in college, it is playing basketball. I have been playing basketball since third grade. It is a big part of my life. I dedicate my spring and summer to AAU basketball playing on an elite, faith based team in a city about an hour away (Marshall MN). It has given me the opportunity to learn a lot from many great coaches, meet and become friends with my teammates from several schools, most of them much bigger than ours and I have gotten to play against and learn from great players from all over the midwest.
I have developed a work ethic on defense that is relentless, I have developed a reliable outside shot, I have become a great ball handler so I can get to the rim and also penetrate the defense so I can assist my teammates in scoring by drawing their defender and dishing it to them and I have worked hard on becoming an effective rebounder so we can get second chances on offense and stops on defense.
In high school our last 2 seasons, we have had very successful teams. I have had the opportunity to play on varsity both seasons and am proud to have been able to contribute to the success of the team. My brother was on the team and is graduating this year. It was really special to be able to play with him. I have lots of great memories of our time on the court together.
