At a recent showcase tournament, the announcer said “Jackson Corey has great vision” after several impressive passes and assists. I feel that I am an asset not only with my shooting skills, but also with my ability to see the court and make opportunities count. I am quick to learn new plays and make sure to know what every position is supposed to do on each of the plays. I hustle back on defense and will make the opposing player work hard for his shot or pass. I have learned that I can’t just practice during our scheduled team practice time and am regularly seen by my neighbors in my driveway doing drills and also working out in our garage home gym. I have trained with a shooting coach for the past several years to continually improve my shot.
I plan to continue playing basketball in college. I will stay on the honor roll for my senior year and will graduate with honors. My major in college is still undecided but I would like to attend a college that has several options.
