Derek Stokes '10 Recruiting Profile

Hi My name is Derek Stokes. I am a 6'4" shooting guard from Joplin, MO currently attending Joplin High School. I have a desire to play basketball at the collegiate level. My goal has always been set to play at the highest level possible and I think that I could contribute at the level. I would like very much so for the opportunity for anyone who is viewing this page to give me a chance to do so. I really do believe that I could step in to just about any program and contribute in a vital role as a player for the team. I would describe myself as an all around player. I handle the ball well, have great range whether it be spot up or shooting on the move, I can get to the basket and take it strong when I do go, I play good defense and make a strong effort on the boards. Once again I have high goals set for myself and I will continue to work hard until I'm able to accomplish all these goals. I am looking for any program with an outstanding athletic program whether it be an up and coming program or a program with a long history of athletics. I would be willing to go anywhere to pursue my dreams even if it was far from home. I just ask for the chance and I hope that you would be willing to give me that chance. Derek
