I started playing basketball at five years old. For me, basketball isn’t just a game, it’s been a lifelong passion. Basketball has taught me discipline, perseverance, and a strong work ethic. It has shaped me into the person I am today. From the first time I picked up a ball, I knew playing basketball in college was something I wanted to pursue. As a point guard, I’ve had to learn how to impact games in different ways such as leading the team by being very vocal and having a high motor.
My strengths consist of ball handling, shooting, and playing aggressive disciplined defense. My speed is also an asset to the team and allows me to get to the rim and create off the dribble. I believe I also have a lot of knowledge for the game, not just a high basketball IQ, but a very strong mental game as well. My positive, supportive attitude has earned the respect and trust of my teammates and coaches. I am very coachable and willing to listen to others in order to help my game grow. As a student-athlete, my academic performance is a top priority and I strive to maintain a high GPA.
I work diligently to improve my game. I go to the gym daily, work with a trainer, watch film, lift in the weight room every day, and have played on several AAU teams, including COMO TNT and MPJ Elite.
I want to attend a college where I can get a degree in Business while also being able to grow, not only on the court, but also in the classroom. I am open to all options as long as I can pursue my childhood dream of playing basketball in college.
