Hi! My name is Easton Starnes. I have been playing basketball since I was 11. It took me a while to figure out that basketball was what I wanted to do, but once I started I fell in love with the game. Ever since then I have dreamed of playing basketball at the collegiate level. I know it's a once in a lifetime opportunity that could change my whole life.
I have a strong basketball IQ and court awareness. I can play all positions on the court and know how a play should be run by all positions and have strong physical defense. I strive to be a team leader and encourage all of my team.
I work hard year round getting into any camps, private workouts, group workouts, travel leagues, and school ball. I train hard all year. I have also run track to help me stay in shape as well as light weights to help with a stronger game.
I work hard at keeping my grades up to maintain my GPA. I received the Jacket Award this past year at our hometown basketball camp. I also volunteer my time during youth camps and our local 3v3 tournaments for 1st-5th grades. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and time at my church youth group.
I want to pursue a career in Sports Medicine, where I can help others and still enjoy sports, most specifically basketball. I want to find the right fit of college for myself to play ball while I get to further my education. I am so excited for the future and opportunities that lie ahead.
