Robert Ussery '23 Recruiting Profile

Sports have always been a big part of my life. Basketball has been a passion of mine since I I was in the 3rd grade. I knew at a young age my ultimate goal was to play at the collegiate level. I know an opportunity like this doesn’t come easy, but I always knew if ever given the chance, I would prove this to be true.

I have strong ball handling skills, and both physical and mental toughness. I am a team leader and and lead by example while encouraging my teammates. I strive to be the hardest working player on the team and always  keep a positive attitude .

I work hard year round on my basketball skills,  participating in a variety of camps and summer league teams. I’m also a member of the highschool football team and Track/Field team with each one contributing to my athletic abilities. 

In the classroom  I work hard maintaining a high GPA. My hard work in the classroom and positive attitude helped me earn student character award and exceptional student award. As an A+ student, I volunteer at the primary center and I’m a member of the LYF at Immanuel Church in Altenburg, Mo.

I want to continue playing basketball in College where I can push myself  as a player. I am ready to put in the time and do whatever it takes to keep me on the court at any level possible. I hope to become a successful member to society  and a positive role model to my peers while continuing my dream as a college athlete.
