Ii am still looking for a college to play basketball at. I am currently a Sophmore at Barry University in Miami, FL. In Spring if 2022 I achieved being named aa a Top Recruit by The High School All American and in June of 2023 I was also named as a Top Propect by Recruit Nation, where I earned an invite to play in The 2024 Dream Basketball Classic. Unfortunately there were only three spots on the club team here at Barry University this year so even though I made it through all the tryouts I didn’t get one of the three spots. I continue to work on my skills in the game every day and I have continued to work on my game by playing with team members of the club team here at Barry University. Unfortunately, last year I missed the tryouts due to unforeseen family issues where I had to fly back home on the day the tryouts took place. But I look forward to being able to improve and perfect my game. My goals are playing in college and hopefully getting the chance to go further with it after college. I love being part of a team, I’m good at reading game situations to help the team score. I’m respectful, a team player, love helping others anyway I can. I have played all positions in high school, so I’m adaptive. I hold myself to a higher moral/ ethical standing. I work hard on my grades and on my game.

- Here is my evaluation from the Barry University coaches. Joshua, Thank you for attending our Virtual Elite Camp. We have viewed your film as a staff and completed your evaluation collectively. We sincerely appreciate your interest in Barry Men’s Basketball. High level shooter that can play both guard spots. Does a really nice job playing in space and reading situations to find open areas for himself without the ball. Capable of making plays for others off the bounce and does a nice job playing with his head up. Finishes with both hands through and around contact at the rim and also uses the floater and mid-range game to his advantage. Active defender on the wing capable of disruption on that end of the floor due to his length and activity. Continue to add strength to his frame to be able to adapt quickly to the physicality of the next level. Challenge yourself defensively against better, more mature players to learn the speed of the next level, especially on the defensive end. Find ways to improve your game offensively as an all around scorer whether it would be adding range to your jumpshot or being able to read situations quicker. Everything is sped up at the next level and the quicker the game slows down for you on the court, the more successful you will be.

- AwardsWinfield Warriors Basketball 2022 Teammate of the Year, GAC All Conference-All Academic Award, Student of the Month-Freshman year, was on Honor Roll majority of high school career, recognized by Assistant Principal who called parent to inform them that I had exceptional character and personality and they wished they had more students like me, Mom received text before Junior year from our sports association coach stating “Josh had 14 points in the game the other night. Don't know if he told you that. He's the most improved player from the last time I coached these boys. His attitude is by far the best I've ever coached as well. Please share with him how proud we are of him. Great kid. He's very important to the team these next two years. ” Coach Dan. Parents have been told I’m a very tough player, by Coach Varner who is my current coach.
