I started playing basketball in 7th grade. I started playing at first because it was what all my friends were doing, and that continued all the way through 10th grade, but at the end of my sophomore season I fell in love with the game, and I knew from then on that I want to play ball in college. I go to a really small and academically challenging school. This has taught me to find a balance between school and sports. Also because I go to a small school we have always struggled with putting together sports teams. For basketball this means that we normally have 6-8 players on our team. Our team also has never been the biggest size wise. This means that I have had to play as a center. At only 6.1 I have learned to play against and guard bigger players. In my sophomore year I was not that good, averaging maybe six points per game while playing 25 minutes a game. After my sophomore season concluded, I started lifting every day of the week, on top of that I also trained basketball 4 days a week. Now as I am beginning my junior season, I can already see huge improvement having just played in our first tournament where I averaged 18 points with 14 rebounds. As far as college goes I want to either go into some form of IT whether that's just computer science, or networking, or I may want to go down the engineering path.
