Personal Statement

My collegiate goal is to play basketball at a highly competitive level. My natural athleticism, commitment to self-improvement, and team player approach to the game make me an asset to any program. I am a strong defensive player and a strong offensive facilitator who is always willing to create open-shot opportunities for my teammates. I believe that what helps me stand out from other athletes with similar athletic strengths to mine is I have demonstrated I am capable of handling the responsibility of maintaining a high GPA (3.5), being engaged in my school community through the National Honor Society and student council, and participating in extracurricular activities and sports. Lastly, I understand the importance of rest and rehabilitating your body appropriately. After suffering from overuse injuries my sophomore year, I began working with a physical therapist and implementing a post-practice and game regimen that focused on knee and hip mobility and restoration. This awareness is critical for athletes preparing for collegiate sports as it requires extra patience and total body awareness.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
