My name is Daniel Shea, I'm 6'6” and play center or forward. I'm a very unselfish player and always put the team first. The best part about my game is that I am a versatile player and can guard any position. I can also stretch the floor on pick pops and I'm a great passer always looking for an open teammate. The reason I would like to play college basketball is that I've always dreamed about playing at the next level. I just want to play! I've had some setbacks in my career. During my freshman year of basketball my Kidney ruptured and I eventually found out that I had cancer. I went through 9 months of chemotherapy and radiation taking away most of my athleticism. I played basketball my sophomore year after all my chemo treatments, but just wasn't myself. I worked out hard the summer going into my junior year. Most of my junior year of basketball was working on getting my confidence back along with my footwork and strength. Going into my senior year, I've truly worked my tail off getting ready. I have a trainer that has been helping me better my shooting, footwork and ball handling skills. I believe my athleticism is back from working out in the off season and I'm ready to prove I can play at the next level. I hope that whomever is reading this gives me a chance to prove myself and my abilities to help their team succeed.
