Hello, my name is Ian Cook and I am a graduate of St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower, CA, class of 2022. I willbe completing a postgraduate year at Impact Academy in Las Vegas to work on my athleticism and to add more layers to my game. I was born and raised in Southern California and live with my parents, my two sisters who attend the University of Southern California and my twin brother. I perform well academically in a rigorous college preparatory curriculum graduating with honors from St. John Bosco.
I have been playing basketball since third grade. I hope to continue my basketball career after high school in a collegiate program that is both a match for my athletic ability and academic interest. While playing in the NBA would be the highest of my aspirations, I also aspire to develop the generation of student athletes that will come behind me by creating a pathway to sports and education by starting my own non-profit organization. I also hope to work for collegiate or professional basketball programs in operations management.
On the court I commit to my defensive game by defending multiple positions and rebounding efficiently. Offensively, I effectively drive and finish and shoot I am effective from the perimeter.
I hope that you will see that I have the drive and ability to succeed at the next level both as a student and as an athlete.
