I attended Trinity International School (Las Vegas, NV) during my senior year (2019-2020) and played on the competitive Grind Session travel schedule. I’m originally from Austin, TX – I moved to Wichita, Kansas my freshman year to play for an EYBL team based in Kansas City, MO (MOKAN).
While in high school (Wichita Heights (KS)and Trinity International (NV), I received the following awards/honors:
2018-2019: Omega Psi Phi, Student-Athlete of the Year
2018-2019: All City (First-Team) - Greater Wichita Athletic League
2018-2019: All- State (Second-Team) - KSHSAA (Kansas High School Athletic Association)
2018-2019: Wichita Heights leading scorer and steals per game (MaxPreps)
2019-2020: Player of the Game (The Grind Session) – Jackson Purchase Jam (Mayfield, KY)
2019-2020: Player of the Game (The Grind Session) – Crush in the Valley (Napa Valley, CA)
2019-2020: Alaskan Airlines Classic All Tournament Team
2019-2020: NCSAA Basketball Championships (National Christian Schools Athletic Association) All Tournament Team
Due to the pandemic, I returned to Wichita after our last game in Kentucky (March 2020) and completed high school requirements remotely. After graduation, I joined the post-grad program at Sunrise Christian Academy (Bel Aire, KS). During the summer of 2020, I had surgery on my left knee and I'm currently progressing in an extensive physical therapy program. I'll be clear to participate after my sports test in April and plan to commit to a program within the following months.
Most importantly, throughout this brief pause with basketball, I surrendered my life to Christ and continue to take steps throughout my journey to get stronger in the word and stronger in my faith. I read my bible daily, fellowship with my pastor, and attend online classes at Odessa College. I plan to major in Political Science and after graduation, I plan to enlist as an officer in the US Air Force. Please review my personal, academic, and athletic information – I hope to be a fit in your program.
Prior to leaving Texas, I was listed in the top 50 in my class (Texas Top 100). During the summer (2017), I played with MoKan Elite - we qualified for NIKE Peach Jam and I had several games with 15+ points; the highest scoring game was 24 points. Prior to coming to Kansas, I played with THP-Elite (Texas Hardwood Prospects). I averaged 26ppg; highest scoring game was 48 points. I currently play varsity basketball for Wichita Heights High School (Wichita, KS) and we are a 5A school. I also participate in track and field this year. My favorite track events are: 200m dash, 4x200m relay and 4x100m relay. I'm a sprinter on the court; most of my points come from transition baskets and offensive rebounds.
Away from basketball, I enjoy running and strength training. I also like to watch documentaries about criminal justice and juvenile delinquents which are faced with years in the system. When I finish playing basketball, I hope to work with kids who are dealing with mental health issues and mentoring kids in the foster care system.
