The most influential part of my high school career was helping lead my team to its first playoff game in the history of the school as a Sophomore. This moment exposed my ability to stay calm and focused, as I was the only one on the team showing composure in this important moment. Playing basketball from a very early age, I have learned court vision, along with a strong work-ethic and leadership skills that are proven on and off of the court.
Being a student athlete at a nationally ranked academic school is the largest obstacle I have faced, especially while lettering in 3 sports for all years of high school. Although this was a great challenge, it has developed me to being the person I am today; I would only expect my college experience to bring the same challenges that I have faced thus far. Because of my challenging high school experience, I am fully prepared to embrace any challenges I will face in my college career.
