My daily affirmation is "Do the work...one must have the will power to live out their goals". My goal is to play Division I collegiate level basketball and I realize that working hard while in the class room via getting good grades (the bulk of my classes are Honors classes), along with a good SAT score will help me obtain my goals. I know for a fact that if I am able to maintain these things now...I certainly will be able to do so down the road of time (as my Grandfather would say).
I am also a team player, some may even say that I am a leader. I expect to play at my highest possible level and I hope/expect that my team mates will do the same. I have the passion, confidence and the self-esteem to pursue the challenge at hand.
Lastly, I place a high value for what I currently have and set high standards for myself. My parents have set the bar high for me too! However, I realize that just because its important to me - it may not be important to whom I think should value it, irregardless - I will continue to pursue my goals.
