I started playing basketball at the age of 5 and ever since I've been in love with the game. I have dedicated my life to this sport, and while I succeed at other sports as well, basketball still holds the number one sport in my heart. I have been very fortunate to play in national tournaments in AAU and have played varsity basketball for four years and started since my sophomore year. I have shown that hard work pays off and I've earned a spot as captain this year while also averaging 14 points per game. This year I was very proud of my team for winning a Christmas tournament in South Amboy while also being selected to the all-tournament team. I've been known to have a great jump shot but I also see myself of having an extremely high basketball I.Q and knowing when and how to make the right plays. I'm always willing to learn different styles of the game and I always want to learn how to become a better player on the court. I'm a student-athlete and while I dedicate my life to basketball I also dedicate my life to the classroom. I excel in the classroom while taking AP and honors courses and being a leader on my basketball team at the same time. I show a strong work ethic on the court but also in the classroom because I always want to reach my highest potential not only in basketball but in the classroom as well. I can promise you that I will always show a great work ethic and that I will give 100 % on and off the court. I've shown over the course of my basketball career that I can be a leader on the court and I take pride in that by getting teammates pumped up and showing them what to do. I'm always about winning first while pushing all of the personal accolades aside. I work well with others and I always listen to what my teammates and coaches have to say. I'm a very respectable player and person and I learned that quality from my parents.
