Daniel Shao '23 Recruiting Profile

When I graduate high school I aspire to study Finance or International Business.  If I could, I would like to study both because I would like to work in the biggest cities in the world and travel a lot. I love to travel, compete, and share ideas which makes me a great team player on and off the court. I compete in the classroom and help others too. I am a multi-sport athlete who does Tae Kwon Do, Soccer, and Basketball. I made all American cadet for Team USA Tae Kwon Do, I have great experience in AAU basketball.  I always push myself in athletics and academics. I have a 4.097 GPA currently in my Junior year which will go higher due to my diligent work in school. I never give up on anything which is why I finish work on time, if any work is late I make it up and study more. In Tae Kwon Do, I started to deal with a height difference which did not discourage me. I started watching taller kids spar who were in my division and I found out ways to beat them. What makes me different from other athletes that you may be scouting is that I love to socialize which lets me communicate with my teammates better. I am confident, disciplined, strong, and I have a desire to succeed. When I have time off, I like to practice Basketball, go to play Soccer with my friends, or run. I am the perfect candidate for any team because of my balance between 3 sports, school, and outstanding characteristics.
