I am very excited about the opportunity to further develop myself both physically and intellectually. As a dedicated student athlete I look forward to playing college basketball and being part of a team. By furthering my education, I expect to gain a deeper understanding of the working business world allowing me to become a successful individual as a result of my hard work and efforts.
Recently, I have been selected by my high school coach to be Captain of the basketball team because of my attitude, leadership, and work ethic. These attributes, which I continually strive to build on, represent core features for any successful team. I value these core features highly and look forward to working with a team displaying a similar dedication.
Why do I consider myself different from other candidates that you may come across? While I am sure that everyone that you speak with will tell you they are dedicated, motivated, trustworthy and honest, I live those characteristics. As a former Life Boy Scout I was tasked with working with my community, my church and working with upper and lower classmen in my troop. I found this rewarding, motivating and encouraging. These basic qualities that I learned and live by continue to help me today.
I always strive for success as a student, athlete and individual. I am looking forward to the opportunity to grow with a team that embodies the characteristics that I have grown up with.
