My name is Nicholas Schroeder and I am a Junior at Nutley High School in Nutley, New Jersey. Ever since I was born I was around the game of basketball. I started really playing when I was five years old and I haven't stopped loving it since. Growing up with an older brother that played basketball too, it naturally put a competitive chip on my shoulder. I learned a lot of things watching and playing with him at a young age. The things that motivate me the most are my family, the love for the game and any doubters that I have. I am currently the starting point guard for the Unity Legends 17U team, coached by Wellington Smith. I also play the 1-4 for my high school team where I've worked really hard to gain recognition, especially coming from a small high school like Nutley. My goal is to play basketball in college and get a great education. While I am at college I don't just want to play basketball, I want to contribute everything I can to help my team win. What I bring to a team is competitiveness, communication and intensity. I am also a player that plays with great pace, shoots 3's and plays defense on positions 1-4. Although basketball is very important to me education is just as important. As a student athlete I know how to make time to balance school, basketball and working out.
