Throughout my life, my parents have taught me that sports are a microcosm of life, teaching us how to be a part of something bigger than myself, learning how to handle a win and a loss, and how to have grit to get through tough situations. Sports have become an integral part of who I am. I am hopeful that I will be able to continue my journey in college, bringing my desire, determination, and leadership to a team and helping them win. I have always understood that student-athlete means that I must also dedicate myself in the classroom, and I would like to attend a college that will help me advance my academic goals as well. I believe that my greatest strength is my ability to remain composed and focused, regardless of what is occurring around me, which has helped me as a leader in school and on the court/field.
