Carter Lewis '20 Recruiting Profile

I’m a 6’ 6” 200 lb. scholar-athlete with a 3.85 GPA, which includes ‘AP’ and ‘Honors’ classes. I'm currently averaging 16 points & 8 rebounds per game in the first half of this year's 2019/2020 season. However,  for our last 5 games, our coach made some changes to the offense, & so I've averaged 24.4 points & 10 rebounds/game during those games, and was among 5 players chosen by NJ.com as North Jersey player of the week(Jan 20-26th). Please see the NJ.com "press link" in the athletic part of my profile. Our team has made a big turnaround, winning every game & often blowing teams out. We’re hopeful to bring home a county championship, and also hopefully later make it to the State Championship!

Over the past 2 years’ time, I’ve grown a lot (5 inches and gained 50 lbs) and gained an exceptional amount of quickness and power! Although big, I’m also fast and have an explosive long first step and good vertical leap; can easily dunk with 1 or 2 hands and only 2 steps. I’m an accurate outside 3-point shooter, and also a strong post-up player, have quick hands and an accurate passer. I’ve been focused on working hard every day to improve my skills. A typical workout consists of practicing basketball, lifting weights, and performing some speed and agility drills. I also play varsity lacrosse during the spring season. Both my basketball and Lacrosse teams have had highly successful seasons and won multiple championships. So I know what it takes to win and have the work ethic and physical/ mental ability to be an immediate contributor. I love basketball; it’s been my dream for a long time to play in college.
