My senior season has ended and my team finished the season in the quarter finals of the State Championship Tournament. Although the season did not end as we had hoped, I improved my personal performance over last season. I was co-captain and the leading scorer, rebounder, and shot blocker on my team. I was also leading shot blocker in the state with an average of 3.2 blocks/game. (Max Preps) Along with being named to the All District, All Metro, and All State Teams. I was named 3A/4A Metro Defensive Player of the Year and Co-Player of the Year for the District 5 AAAA division. I have also been selected to play in the North/South All Star game this July as a member of the North squad. This game features the best players in the state of New Mexico, according to the selection committee which is made up of state coaches. I am 6’5", weigh 200 lbs, have an 80” wingspan and a 30” vertical. I can also bench 185 lbs, and squat 250 lbs for reps. I keep myself in excellent physical condition year round. I continue to work on improving my strength and fundamental skills. I am a tenacious rebounder and tough under the boards thanks to my 7 years of Tier 2 ice hockey. I am a true student athlete with a GPA of 4.05/4.0. My primary goal last year (2012-2013) was to help my team to a winning season. I hoped to be a key contributor in helping my team get to the State Championship Tournament. My individual goals for my high-school career were to be named all district/metro/state. I accomplished all goals, both for my team and me personally in my junior year. Thank you for taking the time to read about me.
