Hi my name is Zack and I’d like to tell u a little about myself. When I became eight years old, I started playing basketball. At ten years old, I grew up watching Knicks (2012-2013) games with my dad and I admired all those crazy talents happening on the court. Right then I knew I wanted to be a NBA.
When I was in 6th grade, I became the fastest runner in my school. When I was in 8th grade, I made my school team, but I never played a second, because I barely showed up to practice, since my parents wanted me to study and they couldn’t drive me to practice. At 14 years old, I really started to grind, I would go outside to my park, no matter the weather and I would stay there for 3-4 hours just doing drills. Now I’m 15 and I signed up to a clinic that has a exercise room and a indoor gym. I go to the exercise room mainly to strengthen my legs. I would go there and work out my legs for 3 hrs and I do it twice a week. I think about basketball everyday, anywhere, and anytime. I play basketball about 2-3 days out of a week for 2 hours.
I have played agianst older, taller and stronger players. I have gotten complements from them and they said “You’re really athletic, a good passer, dribbler, defender, and finisher.” I am not good at shooting, but I’m going to pgc basketball camp to help me shoot. I work better with teammates and my mom is buying me the Stephen Curry Masterclass in the summer. Also I have a friend that averages 30 points a game and he said “he will help me shoot”. Everybody that knows me knows, I’m a hard worker and I hustle. At home I workout by doing all these different types of physical training exercises.
In school, I average about 90’s on my tests. I finish my homework quickly and I know how to schedule my time well. I deleted all forms of distraction (texts, social media, etc.). I only eat healthy foods and I stopped hanging out with my friends, because I want to train. I wake up an hour early before school to workout. Lots of people are trying to tell me I won’t go pro, but I just block them out and zone in on my goal.
Well, that’s my story. I hope you had time to read my personal statement. I’m looking forward to train with coaches one on one soon.
