Joseph Shelton '24 Recruiting Profile

Basketball is not just a sport, it's a way of life. Basketball has always been a major part of my life. I want to play professionally in the NBA. My dream is to make millions of dollars doing what I love doing, and what I do best. I need to find the best college for me to accomplish my dream. 

I am hard working, talented, smart, and respectful. I am a team player who will do anything to win. I will listen and give my all when I am told. I was raised to be respectful to authority, so I will not give any attitude. I will listen to and obey my coaches, teachers, and anyone in authority. 

I have scored over 2,000 career high school points. I have won All-tournament MVP for the Shining Light Academy Christmas tournament and the Oak Level Pre-season tournament for the past three years. I also won the three-point competition in the Shining Light tournament in 2022 and 2023. I started Varsity in the 9th grade. I can play the entire game if I need to.

I am not only basketball smart, but I am book smart as well. I have received A+ Honor Roll for every year of school. I am a member of The National School of High School Scholars. I study almost as much as I train.
