Personal Statement

I’ve had a passion for the game of basketball ever since I started playing as a kid. I work hard every day in the classroom, on the court, and in the weight room to better myself as an individual and for the team. I believe I can play at the next level and want to provide myself with an education to build a career upon. I’ve always been an A/B student and my goal is to continue these good study habits to prepare myself for the workload of a college student athlete.

While I’ve never been the biggest on any court, that has never been a factor in stopping me. I’ve been successful at every level, starting and being the team captain, as well as the leading scorer and playmaker. My coaches have always displayed nothing but confidence in me, and I believe this has to do with the maximum effort and toughness I play with, along with my shooting abilities that separates me from others. I would love an opportunity to help better a program and, along the way grow as a person and player.
