My name is Isaac Guylfrede, I am attending Williston Trinity Christian School in Williston, North Dakota. A year ago I was at a very different place in my life. I wasn't attending school, I didn't play on an official basketball team, and my life was a mess. My adoption parents found me, brought me to an amazing school, and gave me the opportunity to play basketball. I am an immigrant from Gabon, Africa. I came to America when I was in 3rd grade. My birthmother wanted a better life for me. When I graduate high school in 2020, I will be the first person in my birthfamily family to graduate high school, and when I go to college, I will be the first person in my birthfamily to do that as well. My dream is to play basketball. I love working as a team, lifting my team up, and succeeding. I am constantly working on my game. My Mom would describe in me as a humble player. I work hard, but I am quiet about the time I put in. Thank you for giving me this chance, basketball can be the chance to truly let me shine as a person. My grades haven't always been great, but I haven't always had something to work towards, either. I knew I wanted to be great, not just good, but great. I am striving to be great every day.
