Giovonni Williams '22 Recruiting Profile

My pops instills Strong work ethics, Morals, Values, Dignity, Chivalry, Integrity and Respect in me for Solid character building. 

I'm sure there are many other guys who work hard but I have been pushing myself for years.  Now I get guys together and invite them to the recreation centers that I often go to for games. I go there so much that the staff know and trust me.  As a sophomore I am the captain of my JV team at Withrow High School.   As a junior I am now the co-captain of the varsity team.  Now a senior I am the captain of the varsity basketball team. I will out work your hardest worker. 

I am goal driven and have interest in playing basketball at the highest level (NBA). I am a combo guard but, at the next level I know I'll be a Point Guard considering my height of 6'2" with a extremely strong offensive game and stellar defense. I love basketball and dedicated myself to be better at all phases of the game from Leadership, IQ, Ballhandling, Post moves, Midrange, Defensive strategies, Court vision and Awareness. Off the court, I focus on school grades, strength, conditioning and continue to push myself to being the best Son, Grandson, athlete, student and overall person I can be. I know the game like a coach on the court, taking advantage of mismatches or creating advantages. My highlight videos are only the tip of the iceberg and doesn't show my full talent for the game but, only a sample of what I can do. Being a team player, I handle pressure well, giving them the best version of me possible by encouraging them and leading by example. As a student of the game, I understand position-less basketball and playing to my strengths, never allowing opponents to key in on defense. I'd love the opportunity to play college ball at the highest level, while positioning myself for a great future ahead of me. Giving 110% with 1 opportunity is all I need.
