My name is Gavin Leslie, I am a 6´1¨ shooting guard, class of 2023, and I want to play basketball at the collegiate level. I can appreciate what it will take, and embrace the challenge. I have a true passion for the game. I love the camaraderie of being a part of a team and working together to succeed. I will take a charge, make the extra pass, and I´m unafraid of taking the winning shot. I respect the player/coach relationship. I will look you in the eye and acknowledge each and every coaching moment.
Academics is certainly first and foremost, and although I haven´t decided what I want to pursue, my grades and ultimately graduating will be the main focus. I have been an honor student throughout my schooling and have learned and understand what it takes to succeed in class. I recently ran into one of my previous coaches, and asked how his current season was going. He said, it was frustrating (Covid), but going pretty well. He has enjoyed the group of boys, but wished he had the glue...a ¨Gavin¨. I smiled and understood what he meant. I look forward to bringing ¨Gavin" to my College team.
