I want to play collegiate basketball because I've found the sport to be an outlet. I love the tempo and the pace of the game. There is an intensity that draws me back. It's something I've come to love and something I'd love to pursue long term. There are things I do during practice, games, and even local games at the YMCA that excite me. Whether it's an assisted dunk, a pass that nets a three or a massive block. I just love the feeling of a great play.
I strive to be an asset. My teams' current assignment for me mostly revolves around defense. I believe that for my height and my size that I can be a lot more athletic and flexible. I believe that I have high standards for myself defensively. I always want to be the best defender on the court I'm always looking to improve in any way possible. I'm constantly looking for workouts that can benefit myself individually or the team. I am always looking to improve.
In our home, we have a rule. My siblings and I are required to earn a vocational degree while in school. Since my dad has told me that trade jobs are supposed to grow massively in the next 10 years I have decided to look into vocational education in electricity or plumbing. I would like to then play basketball to help pay for a degree in business management. Achieving this would give me the tools to run a successful business long term.
