I pride myself on my work ethic. I did not mature physically as fast as some of the other athletes my age, so I had to work to become more skilled to be able to compete with them. Now that I am maturing physically I have passed many of the athletes that I used to compete with. As an added advantage, I have kept the work ethic that I had to adapt when I was younger. I lift weights 5 days a week as I identified strength and speed as areas that I had to improve. I also recently started training at a center to improve strength, speed and explosive power. I feel with this added work, I have the opportunity to become a very high level athlete. I continue to build on my strengths of shooting and basketball IQ by shooting 1500-2000 shots a week and breaking down game film weekly to understand the game better. I have seen myself improve greatly over the last year and that has driven me to work harder. I feel like although I am a late bloomer physically, I am starting to scratch the surface of the athlete and player I can become. I feel like I'd be a great recruit for any college as I am a good basketball player who is improving everyday. I have a great work ethic and will succeed at the college level both in sports and in the pursuit of a degree.
