A.J. Hess '23 Recruiting Profile

I have loved the game of basketball ever since I can recall. My passion, drive, and dedication to basketball is immeasurable. I  feel some of my strengths are being able to guard positions one through four, beating my defender off the dribble using speed and versatility.  I am also able to finish around the basket with both hands; as well as seeing the court to find my open teammates. If you combine those strengths in conjunction with the ability to shoot from 30-40 feet from the perimeter, I believe that is what sets me apart from other players my size. I am always eager to learn and develop more about basketball on and off the court. I have enjoyed being coached by several incredible AAU coaches over the years, as well as my Varsity coaching squad.  I was taught by my parents to play with purpose, passion, and pride.  I believe that a positive attitude is a necessity for playing any sport not only now, but, particularly the collegiate level. I do my best to bring my teammates up and to keep them there both on and off the court.  I am looking forward to being a student athlete in college and I hope that NCSA will help me find the right fit.
