My name is Zaheem Kiri Jackson, and I live in Plaquemine, Louisiana. I attended Scotlandville Magnet High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. While attending Scotlandville Magnet High I was a member of the Hornets Varsity Basketball team. I played on the varsity team all 4 years. There I had the privilege to play in all positions on the court. For Example; point guard, shooting guard and forward. I learned so much from my coaches and my teammates/my brothers. I learned that success comes from hard work and even failure, "your not running a sprint, your running a marathon", never give up until the last horn blows. I take my role as a team player very serious. I am hard working, dependable, supportive, outgoing, caring of others, respectful, and a motivator . I will be an asset to any program because of my ability to dig deep within my self and encourage my teammates as well to keep fighting for the program. I am a people person, which means I like meeting new people. I like people who are friendly, respectful of others privacy and their things. I am going to give you 100 percent every time I step on the court, weather it is practice or game time. I am a 3 time Louisiana High School 5A-State Champion (2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 State Runner Up). I believe that all things are possible with GOD on your side. My parents are wonderful, they refuse to allow me to accept the negative things that tend to detour one from accomplishing their dream.
My mother would repeat this prayer to me daily as we road to school:
Today I Have Favor With GOD,
I Have The Victory
My Angles Are Watching Over Me
They Keep My Feet From Traps
And The Blood Of JESUS Protects Me
And I Will Dwell In The House of The Lord
For Ever and Ever....AMEN.
Thank You Mom and Dab
