Hello, my name is Kaden McClure, and I have been playing competitive basketball since the third grade. I have excelled at every level of basketball that I have played at and have played on numerous AAU teams. Since the 5th grade I have played on AAU teams that have done very well at tournaments that we have played at. I have been member/officer of the FFA since the 7th grade, and have excelled in this organization. This year I was recipient for the FFA State Degree. To be a recipient of the FFA State Degree you have to put countless hours of hard work and dedication to this organization. My sophomore year of high school I earned a 3.5 G.P.A, and was selected to be a member of the National Honor Society (NHS). The requirements to be apart of NHS is that you had to earn at least a 3.0 G.P.A, grade level of 10-12, and the candidate must show a high level of leadership, service, and character. In my 2018-2019 basketball season our team finished 13-11 overall, 7-5 in league, and fourth place at districts. I ended my 2018-2019 basketball season averaging 17 PPG, 2 assists, and earned all league honors. My junior I earned a high grade point average that was a 3.8. Also, I joined the FBLA organization, and I competed in the Community Service Project group project. In this group project we summarized all the different community service acts we did throughout the year. This project ended up getting 9th place at the 2020 State FBLA competition. During my 2019-2020 basketball season our team finished the year with a 15-11 overall, 8-4 league record, and 3rd place at districts. I finished my basketball season averaging 15 PPG, 5 assists, and earned all league honors. My plans after college is that I want to pursue the career path of a Cardiologist. The job of a Cardiologist is a doctor who specializes in the study or treatment of heart diseases and heart abnormalities. To successfully to become a Cardiologist, I would have to attend medical school for four years, internal medicine residency for three years, and cardiology fellowship for two-five years. This game of basketball I fell in love with it the first time I played, I would love to take my basketball career to the next level because I have put in numerous hours of hard work on and off the court. You cannot measure the size of the heart and determination that I have for the game of basketball and life. I have my basketball game videos/highlights from my sophomore year to junior year on Hudl. Just only being a junior, I have one more year left of my high school career. I cannot wait to see all the great goals and accomplishments that I am will achieve.
Sincerely,
Kaden McClure
