Alexander Nicoli '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alex Nicoli. I am a 2020 basketball prospect in my Senior year from Western Christian High School in Salem, Oregon. I am a 6’1, 160 pound shooting guard.  I am a fearless shooter that my team can consistently depend on from a variety of ranges. Recently I took part in a free throw shooting fundraiser and made 463/500 (93%) in 2 ½ hours. Coaches have often told me that I have a high basketball IQ and a great vision of the court.   I am incredibly passionate about the sport of basketball and would make a great addition to any program. I am very coachable and extremely dedicated.

In the classroom, I work hard and stay focused.  My current GPA is 3.7.  I take academics very seriously and I look forward to being at a college that I can grow academically but also as an individual. As a sophomore I took AP World History which I received an A in for each semester and passed the College Board AP exam, giving me college credit for that class.  I am currently enrolled in an AP Human Geography Class.  I recently finished the 1st semester with an A in that class as well.  During summer and school breaks, I work at my family’s metal recycling business where I have learned to work hard in a team setting.  Two summers ago, I traveled to Puerto Rico with my basketball team on a missions trip to help local communities with school improvements as well as at an orphanage.  This past summer, my team went on a basketball tour from Ohio to Philadelphia where we played had the opportunity to play other Christian schools. 

I am a Christian man with solid morals and a strong sense of right and wrong.  On and off the court, I want to portray the best reflection I can of myself, my team, my school, and my family. I look forward to showing coaches the best of who I am.
