There are many things in this life that are very important to me including family, church and basketball. Basketball has been a very large impact and influence on who I am today. Many people doubted me and that has made me a stronger player on the court and mentally. I push myself to the limit all the time because we all know basketball is a very competitive sport and there is a lot of great talent out there. There have been many setbacks and challenges so far, like this spring AAU was canceled and I fractured my tailbone. Without a season and with a injury I focused on recovery and on skill development. Once my tailbone healed I went straight to the basketball court to use my new knowledge on the court. I tend to see myself as a leader because while everything was shutdown I managed to organize competitive basketball games and safe for all participants in public parks to stay on top of my game and to provide some sort of game play to develop my court iq. Many athletes focus mostly on sports and ignore academics but for me academics are very important. Coming from a family where both my parents had poor education I like to take advantage of any knowledge I can receive and I tend to be very quick to learn new things. My first priority when searching for a college is academics and someone that will guarantee that I will receive the best education I can get. My second priority is obviously a good basketball program. I'm looking for a team where leadership and family is shown amongst the staff and players. I am open to discuss any questions or concerns with any college and ahead of time I want to say thank you for even taking the time out of your day to look at me.
