My goal for college is to find a school with classes that I'm interested in for my future goals in counseling or behavioral health, and where my family, my coaches and I think would be the best fit for me. I feel my strong suits as a player are being able to score at three ranges, hit tough mid-range shots, and be able to post strong under the rim and rebound and play defense tenaciously. I love defense and shutting down the opponent's big man to disrupt their flow.
One of my biggest moments of growth as a player was when we lost in the playoffs last year. A buzzer beater three ended our season, and it just hurt. That moment is driving me this year to make sure I do everything I can to help the team make sure that we're up by more than three at the end of every game on our way to a state title! Seriously though, that loss motivated us and brought us together - I'm so pumped for this year to get started to begin washing that stink off.
Things that make me different from other recruits are my ability to shoot and handle the ball at 6'10". Being able to get around players and get above rim and finish strong. Another thing that I have worked extremely hard on is the ability to see the court and make plays. I feel like in transition whether it is trailing post or first big down the floor, I have focused on being the best transition player I can be.
Academically, I have always excelled in the classes that are interesting and see now in recruiting that my focus needs to be more broad. I'm working hard at that this term and currently have my GPA above 3.5., and going for a 4.0 before I finish high school.
I have a very easygoing personality off the court and play with a very cool head. I love being challenged and am so looking forward to college basketball to challenge myself and be the best player and teammate I can be!
