Kevin McFarland '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kevin McFarland, a member of the Class of 2023.  I am a 6’3” PG/SG who attends Hamburg Area High School In Hamburg, PA. At a young age I developed a passion for competing. I would watch members of my family talk about the successes they accomplished in sports and the passion they showed for doing something they loved. I always wanted those experiences and it has drove me to attain those accomplishments and feel that passion myself. 

On the court, I am a four year starter at PG on our Varsity team. Throughout high school I have played positions 1 through 3, being versatile on both ends playing and guarding different positions is something I feel is very important. I am also a 2-way starter on our Varsity Football team at WR and CB; in addition, I am a member of the Tennis, Cross-Country and track teams. At the conclusion of the 22-23 school year I will have lettered in 5 varsity sports.  

I have excelled in the classroom as well, and currently hold a 103 GPA which has put me in the top 13% of my class. I am President of the Class of 2023 for the 4th year in a row and an active member of several school clubs including National Honor Society. As you can see thus far in High School I have demonstrated my ability to be successful both in the classroom and on the athletic fields. I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and in athletics. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible.
