Going through this recruiting process and always being asked to talk about myself is a little bit of a challenge but one I will work hard at to fulfill my dream of playing college basketball. Since I can remember I've been involved in team sports (baseball, soccer and basketball). I have won many trophies and MVP awards but what I take away from all of those experiences is that being a student athlete and role model has no off season. I have learned that working hard at something you believe in and making the right choices in life has its rewards. Last basketball season I was chosen Captain by my teammates and was also chosen (the only Junior) to the all star team by the other coaches in the league. I finished 2nd with 12.7PPG, 8th with 0.764FT% and 2nd in 3pt's PG. My Junior year I was also inducted into The National Honor Society. I have volunteered at my local youth basketball camps and Biddy leagues. I always set a positive example by being early to practice, dedicating myself to the team and demonstrating all the standards of a Honesdale High School student athlete. I have chosen a career in nursing with a goal of becoming a nurse practitioner. In this work environment I will be able to help and earn the trust of others and continue to be part of a team.
