Playing basketball and being immensely successful in athletics, education and in life is what has motivated me for the past 18 years. That is why I chose Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School. Now, as I embark on my college career, I want to play basketball for a program that has the same passion and commitment to win. I want four consecutive conference titles and four trips to the NCAA Tournament. That is my goal on the court.
However, college is also a time for personal growth and the forging of friendships that carry on not just for 4 years but for the 40 years that follow. I have a strong interest in finance as well as medicine and one of my goals is to explore a major that will position me well for an MBA or even medical school. That is my goal in the classroom.
I think my accomplishments as an “All State” basketball player as well as Division, Conference and League Most Valuable Player and more than 1,000 point scorer in just 60 games attest to my passion and commitment to the game.
There should be no doubt that on the court, no one will work harder than me. I will use my strengths and God given athleticism to the best of my abilities and in any way that my team needs. As I continue to grow both physically and mentally, I will continue to be an asset to the team, the college and most of all, to myself.
With the combination of my body growing stronger every day and my mind growing hungrier for knowledge, I truly need an academically challenging college, a coaching staff and team that strives for continued success on and off the court, and the next four years of my life to be an unforgettable experience.
Striking that balance is what is crucial for me.
