Personal Statement

I love sports.

I love to watch sports.

I love to play sports.

I understand sports.

Although sports do not define me......sports are my life.   Sports help me focus on all aspects of my life.

Everyday of my life, I am focused on sports.   I practice, play, watch to study the game, work out or think about sports.  I first developed my passion to play sports when I was very young.  I played hockey.  Then, I played baseball.  Next I learned to play basketball.   Most recently, I became a football player.

My passion is basketball.  I am a hard working, physical shooting guard/small forward who consistently out-hustles and out-works everyone else on the court.   My sophomore year, (15-16) I was the leading scorer, re-bounder and made the highest number of Free Throws on my Varsity team.   I was the only player from my HS selected First Team All-Division.   My informal leadership and hard work became the standard for our team.

I am disciplined during practice, work-outs and off season training.    This discipline also flows over to my school work and overall work ethic.  I maintain a 3.47 GPA.  I work a part time job and volunteer regularly in my community.

My top goal at this point is to improve myself to be able to play college basketball.  I would also like to use my skills to improve my HS team's success and reputation.     In college, I would like to play for a team that can appreciate my attitude, hard work and character as much as my physical style of play and overall basketball skills.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
