The goals I have set for myself are to become a well rounded elite basketball player as well as a top student-athlete in my class. I would like to be a part of a good team and to enjoy the university/college that I select to play for at the next level. I know I would be a good candidate to play at the next level because I love and understand the game very well. I have never been afraid to put time in both the classroom to improve my grades or the gym to improve my strength and skills. I try to be a leader on and off the court for my teammates and a role model for the younger boys and girls in town.
What separates me from everyone else is I believe that I am a good person, I really try hard to treat every person the way I would like to be treated. I will always put forth one hundred and ten percent in everything I do. In athletics I look forward to being with my teammates and coaches in working as hard as we can both in and out of season so that we can be as successful as possible. In the classroom my goal is simple and that is to be the best student I can be and to put forth the effort in my assignments as I do in athletics. I would love to finish in the top 10 percent in my class like my brother did and to take as many honor courses as possible to help me get ready for college.

- Finished 2-1 with a tough loss in pool play to NY Havoc 79-77 who went on to win the event. Made All GymRat Challenge Team. Included is the write up: Ryan Hughes, 6-4 guard, Central PA Elite-Hughes/Middletown Area H.S.: A fiery, vocal leader. Really has a feel for the game, exhibits a high court IQ. Very good jump shooter with good range out to beyond the three-point stripe. Active hands on the defensive end. Uses the pick-and roll well to create his own shot or find teammates.
