I am Tyler Reed, a 6'2" point guard attending Arch Bishop Ryan high school in Philadelphia, Pa. When I was young, before I could walk, I was exposed to athletics. My older brother, Sheream played basketball at the local playground almost everday. I became more fond of basketball when I attended Sheream's games and watching professional basketball on television. As I grew older, I practiced and played at the playground with my brother after school, and everyday during the summer. Ever since then, basketball became apart of life, and my dream is to play basketball at the collegiate level.
I have played competivetively in AAU, summer basketball leagues and high school varsity basketball. I have been consistently working on my strength and skills to improve and prepare my self for an outbreak season. I have a 74" wingspan, 31" vertical jump, 185lbs max bench press, and a 225lbs barbell squat press.
Ultimately I would like to attend graduate school of business, and eventually own and run a sucessful company. With hard work, dedication, and some sacrifice, with the support of my family, many of my goals will be achieved.
My main focus now is to use basketball as a tool to achieve an athletic scholarship. I have recently thought about my life and future goals and recently realized I need to do much better to achieve them. in my senior year I will bring up my GPA, SAT scores, and enforce good working habits that will prepare me at the next level academically and athletically. I am a good person with great morals that is willing to put in hard work. I am hoping coaches will recognize my potential and effort and give me an opportunity to play college basketball.
